found :: paper leaf

I stumbled upon Paper Leaf‘s site recently and look at the goodies I found! The Color Theory infographic is now my desktop wallpaper and the Elements of Design is on deck. Paper Leaf is a design team of two (husband and wife) that offer web and print design. Their blog is a great resource for tutorials, infographics like the above, even tips on how to deal with clients. I’ve just added them to my favorites page (you should too!).

alma

Sometimes the things you want, can end up being just the opposite.

It was a looooooong weekend. I cleaned, played with Mac, even went into the day job to try to “catch up” but another huge pile of things to do greeted me as I sat down at my desk. I spent most of my drive into work this morning thinking about family.

I found a new favorite blog, if you like thinky thoughts. Check it out: Caterina.net I especially like this post about FOMO* and Social Media.

found :: artful magnet boards

These 14″ x 18″ magnet boards from Kelly Rae Roberts come ready to hang. I love the three magnets it comes with too! There are three versions available. This version is currently sold out by no surprise. I’m holding out for the restock before ordering though since this one is perfect for my office (which still has wookiee fur all over it and no rug since Mac keeps snacking on it).

update: The Love Magnet Boards are currently BACK in stock!

found again :: tryst by kerry

During the whole mini blog facelift process, I’ve been reading old posts and visiting all my “found” peoples, places and things. Tryst by Kerry was one of my first finds after I created the blog and check her out now! I love these Raw Agate Feather pendants. Ironically enough, my favorite is the Water Talisman (I’m actually afraid of water, the deep kind that is).

On a side note, while reading my old posts I decided: reflection is a good thing, dwelling – not so much. Being able to recognize the difference is key.

found :: just being audrey

I shopped a lot during my vacation last week and I found this book Just Being Audrey at Anthropologie (yes, we have one in Jax!). It’s exquisite, much like it’s subject. I have a soft spot for this style of illustration, and I’d love to see an animated short made of this book. I don’t have any kids but I’m saving this one for future sharing for sure.
