what’s this…what’s this?!

Somehow, in a (brief) moment of clarity (it can happen!) I was able to figure out how to link my three blogs together and they now operate as a cohesive whole. I know that it is a bit annoying when you visit a blog and everything has been moved around on you. It’s like somebody rearranged your medicine cabinet or driving someone else’s car. But I digress, the point is, take look at the new spaces: KNIT PRETTY (knitty goodness), MAKE AND DO (gallery site of crafty adventures). I won’t be rearranging the blog(s) for the rest of the year, scout’s honor.

Actually, I was kicked out of scout’s for tearing up my sister’s cookie order sheet… so I’ll just promise to keep things as is for a while so that you can at least find the Q-tips and turn signals. Sound good? Great. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, dears!

creative business :: le animalé

One of my newest blog and shop crushes happens to be le animalé… ever since I read Laura’s Etsy feature (December 2011) and subscribed to her blog feed, I am hooked. Laura recently revamped her website and it’s brilliant. She generously shares her creative process and has an obvious love for what she creates (I LOVE le sloth!). Please do pay her new site a visit, and you’ll be paid back three fold… with smiles. Happy weekend everybody!

found :: pencil test depot

MARVELOUS  MAD  MADAM  MIM!

This is my latest kick: animation; specifically, pencil tests. I can’t get enough of them. I’m in love with the process and the perfectly imperfectness of them all. I found Pencil Test Depot today. A blog belonging to Jamaal Bradley who is currently a senior animator at Dreamworks (what?! and the coolest-freakin-job-on-earth award goes to…. JAMAAL). I’ve officially added “learn more about animation” to my 2012 to do list.

You can check out Jamaal's personal blog here.

counting the days

I know you all think I’m some kind of calendar fiend… and you are so right!. If you hop on over to Creature Comforts you can sign up to receive a free monthly printable calendar (subscribe to her Newsletter in the lower right hand area of her main page) from the lovely Ez- you can click here to see all the months she has made available so far. March’s calendar is very sweet. I have a suspicion that they all will be! Thanks, Ez!

Speaking of days… {BIRTH}days to be exact…I started a pinboard to help me plan for mine. You can check it out here.

back to the start

This ad was my favorite part of the Grammy’s. More like this please. It almost erases the scary part of the show where I ate the peach and forgot everything then woke up to rave monkeys dancing with Chris Brown, giant disco ball mouse heads with winking LED eyes, and Nikki Minaj in some kind of gaga-esque exorcist FAIL… (shudders).

Now, who wants a burrito?

all you need is love

I must admit that Valentine’s Day is not really my kind of holiday. Not had very much luck with it the last, oh I don’t know, 15 or so years. But I’m not bitter! I’m not too great at pretending things so I did not get around to putting any valentine kits in the shop this year– I created a treasury instead.

OH! and I almost forgot…there is a nifty giveaway over a Lou, What, Wear today. You could win a Print Pretty printable planner AND calendar for the cost of a mere comment…go check it out.

arc + print pretty

Do you remember me telling you a couple weeks ago about the arc notebook system? (probably not, but I totally forgive you) It’s from Staples and a perfect compliment to the printable planners and organizers I have in the shop. Buy the notebook shell and an arc paper punch and you are on your way to making a notebook/planner that is completely unique to your needs. Speaking of which, the NEW planner designs are ready for viewing. Two patterns (chevron and arrows), three colorways each, more page options and you can now request special sizes —-> A4 and 5.5″ x 8.5″ at no extra charge.

Here’s a peek at what the “wove” printable planner looks like in the 5.5″ 8.5″ size (in an arc notebook system, no less!!) Special thanks to Etsy buyer, Elizabeth, for being the most lovely guinea pig on earth and also for sending me this pic!

hello…love

I’m not much of a girly girl and I’ve never had any kind of wedding fantasy (a few nightmares, actually)… but this dress from BHLDN is amazing (Cascading Goddess Gown). There is a video showing how the dress flows as you walk… I would say I do to almost anything in this dress (wink).
